Perfect place to get your Christmas cheer on! Of course I had the mint julep because duh, that’s what they are known for and it did not disappoint. The dirty martini was also great. Loved all of the decorations they had going on, got me right in the holiday spirit. Highly recommend!

Excellent location, convenient pregame for a show at Warner Theatre. Drinks and food were great. It’s a hotel bar so the space turns over a few times if you sit long enough. Service is good but gets slow during the those inevitable turnover/rush periods. Keep that in mind when trying to close a tab in a hurry, we learned the hard way.

Beautiful location and you can almost smell the wheeling and dealing happening throughout the room. The patrons are enjoyable and everyone is vying for a seat at the bar. The wine list is fine, not spectacular as this appears to be a spot for people to go, have a glass of wine or a cocktail and then continue in with their evening. I enjoyed the spot and wouldn’t hesitate to go back the next time I’m in town. The Intercontinental Hotel is beautiful and The Round Robin is nestled off of the main entrance. Bartenders keep things moving pretty quickly.

Great cocktails. Known for their old-fashioned (claiming history back to Henry Clay introducing the drink to the bar that stood there in the mid 1800s), other mixed drinks were very flavorful. Pricey (think $20 and up for a cocktail), but worth a stop into the Willard Intercontinental for a drink at The Round Robin.

The museums are closed for the evening. You're thirsty. Something sweet appeals. This place hit both of these desires for me in the best way. The bartenders were great. Masters of their craft. The folk they have making their deserts are absolutely artists. I adore the decor and vibes. It is too rare that I find places like this. If I was local this would absolutely be one of my main haunts.

So much history, we had to stop here. Certainly recommend the mint julep, smoked old fashioneds and dirty martinis with blue cheese, olives. For food, we tried the cheese plate, which is plenty for two people. We also had the outstanding pork belly and grilled octopus . Another must do when in DC.

Loved this bar. It’s quiet and exudes its history. You can feel it. I wanted the barrel aged old fashioned, but they were not ready, so the bartender made me an OF using Michters Rye. It was outstanding! You could capture the rye and bitters as they were distinct from the syrup. Wonderful! Highly recommend.

In research, you'll see scientists put their heads together over drinks. The atmosphere is relaxing, the music is present yet in the background, they'll be in a nook where they can forget the outside world for a bit. This was what the bar was like for me. With two benefits: (a) excellent drinks and (b) Thatcher who not only made them for us, but also turns out to be a comp sci major with social skills. (Not my strong suit like most techies which is why the rare unicorn catches my attention.)
